Wallet

Também conhecido como: Crypto Wallet, Digital Wallet

A software or hardware tool that stores private keys and enables users to send, receive, and manage cryptocurrencies.

A cryptocurrency wallet is a tool that allows users to interact with blockchain networks. Despite the name, wallets do not actually store cryptocurrency. Instead, they store the private keys that prove ownership of digital assets and enable transactions on the blockchain.

There are several types of wallets:

Hot Wallets (connected to the internet): - Mobile wallets (apps on your phone) - Desktop wallets (software on your computer) - Web wallets (browser-based) - Exchange wallets (custodial, managed by exchanges)

Cold Wallets (offline storage): - Hardware wallets (physical devices like Ledger, Trezor) - Paper wallets (printed private keys) - Air-gapped computers

Wallets contain two key components: - Public Key: Your wallet address, shareable with others for receiving funds - Private Key: Secret key for signing transactions, must be kept secure

The security of your cryptocurrency depends entirely on protecting your private keys. Loss of private keys means permanent loss of access to funds.
